Step back in time to the medieval era of the Chandela and Bundela dynasties. This tour combines the frozen-in-time riverside town of Orchha, known for its grand cenotaphs and forts, with the world-famous UNESCO Heritage temples of Khajuraho, celebrated for their intricate Nagara-style architecture and exquisite sculptures.
Pick up from Jhansi Railway Station. Short drive to Orchha (18 km). Check in and visit the magnificent Orchha Fort complex, including Jahangir Mahal and Raj Mahal. In the evening, attend the Aarti at Ram Raja Temple.
Morning visit to the hauntingly beautiful Chhatris (Cenotaphs) by the Betwa river. Drive to Khajuraho (175 km / 4 hours). Evening enjoy the spectacular Sound & Light show narrating the history of the Chandela Kings.
